Oregon or Bust

Our family has developed a little bit of a reputation of making crazy decisions to take last minute trips no matter what stands in our way. This Holiday was no exception. Thanks to a little storm that hit the Northwest this Christmas our trip to Oregon was completely nuts. And, I would just like to add that we did the entire trip without a DVD player. And all I can say about that is why do kids just randomly turn and whack their brother when they are bored? The drive was beautiful and kinda scary and really, really long! But, we made it and were pretty much snowed in the rest of Christmas. We ended up staying an extra day to let the roads melt a little more and made the trip home in record time. Jeremy was definitely my hero this Christmas!

That is funny on soooo many levels, but most of all on the "didn't you know that was already Jeremy's reputation before you met him" level. Seriously, seat-of-the-pants action and Jeremy go together like peanut butter and peanuts.

Wow, it's a really good thing mom is not seeing these snowy road pictures until after you are safely snuggled back at home. Those are pretty crazy roads to be driving on for 12 hours. And those are the cleared roads for Oregon. Well thanks again for coming. It was a blast!

Wow that makes our drive to SLC (8 hours) look like a walk in the park. I am glad you made it back safe, when is your next winter trip!

Oh my... I had a friend cancel her flight into Oregon because of this storm. Driving on snow packed roads with 3 kids and no DVD player... Glad you survived!
