Mr.Matthew

We have been having a hard time this year trying to decide what to get Matthew for Christmas. First of all he is two and our third boy, so he doesn't really need any toys. Well, except he only plays with broken toys, toys that are missing parts, the buttons don't work, and I refuse to put batteries in that annoying thing one more time toys. Then we had some little girls come over and brought some of their toys. Look, he is so happy!

My Inspiring Moments

It's a Wonderful Life Can I tell you how much I love this movie? This is a must see for me every year, and has one of my favorite movie lines of all time. "You call this a happy family? Why do we have to have all of these kids?" I know, not one of the classic lines from the movie, but I bust a gut every time I hear it. Also, feel good movie of my life. I can't even explain it, when all his friends charge into the house and pour the money on the table I lose it every time. "No man is a failure who has friends." And hello, did you see the phone kiss scene? And Mary gives away her honeymoon money and moves into an abandoned house and fixes it up over YEARS and YEARS? Wow, that is inspiration right there. Watch it, Love it.

Random Treats

I am always humbled and amazed by the random treats that will show up at my door. From people I know are struggling themselves, from people who I should be taking a treat to. That is the true spirit of Christmas to me, and I am in awe. Take a treat to somebody this year that would never expect it. Make their day!

Oh December

Wow, December is flying by. What has been up with us? Well, probably about the same as the rest. Lots of running around shopping and errands. The boys have been making fun things at school and getting ready for their school programs. Sam had his preschool program last night, it was interesting. They sang Happy Birthday to Jesus, and a version of a classic, "It's His party so I'll smile if I want to." Both true, I guess.

Spencer will be playing a piano solo in his school program. They had the run through on Friday and he did amazing! It was a very proud parent moment with lots of beaming and holding back the tears. Today was a big piano Choir day for me with two songs at church, and another performance tonight at the Stake Hymn Sing. I will be glad to get through it, my nerves are shot! Then of course I need to put together my number for our family Christmas Eve program. Will Jeremy and I do another famous duet? You never know! Matthew goes around the house singing Jingle all the way every day. It is very cute.

We Believe!

This was a big year for us with Santa, no tears!! All three boys got right up there and told Santa what they wanted for Christmas. My boys LOVE Santa. Sam wrote his letter weeks before Thanksgiving. He was so excited this year because he could write it himself!

Fun Times

Ok, these pictures turned out bad, I admit it. I would like to say my camera is on the fritz, but mostly I think I am on the fritz. But, I do love decorating the tree with the boys. They were all really into it this year. I love all the ornaments they put in that one line right by where they could reach.

Ramblings of One BIg Week

So, for Thanksgiving week we traveled to Utah for three days to go to a funeral. Then we came back to Boise for one day of work and school. Then we left for Oregon for Thanksgiving and a wedding. Crazy, right? I have been avoiding blogging because there is just too much to say and really we didn't get pictures of most of the important moments from the weekend. Like Jeremy speaking at his Grandpa's funeral. Like cooking with my mom and all of my sisters. Like watching Sally doing her hair and makeup on her wedding day. What a week! We are so grateful that we could be a part of all of these events this week. Here are just two pictures that captured some of the weekend for me. My parents put grass at their new house the day before we arrived! This was a HUGE moment, and look at the grandkids enjoying it! That is my Dad with his grandkids Lindy and my Matthew. And of course, the beautiful bride my baby sister Sally!
